The Court Beyond The Sky Poem by Pushp Sirohi

The Court Beyond The Sky

I climbed no mountain carved by kings,
Nor crossed a gate of fire.
I walked instead through silent thoughts,
Where every dream was tried.

There stood no judge with crown or sword;
The mirror wore the throne.
It weighed no wealth, it counted not
The kingdoms I had known.

It asked, 'What truth did you protect
When comfort begged for lies?
Whom did you raise when none could see?
What stars lit others' eyes? '

The proud arrived in robes of gold,
Yet entered poor and bare.
The humble, clothed in quiet deeds,
Were brighter than the air.

I searched for heaven in distant realms;
It whispered from within:
'The soul ascends not by applause,
But by the wars it wins.'

So write your name on passing winds,
Or carve it into stone—
The universe remembers most
The hearts that stood alone.

And when the final page is turned,
No trumpet needs to call;
For those who learned to master self
Have already conquered all.
