The Courtesan Poem by oio ZIGA

The Courtesan

I have showed you much affection
Much more than your heart can brave
I have lifted you much
Higher than any deity has braved
Held you ever so tightly to my bosom
Yet you conflict
your heart devours
A blood thirst beast you are
You reign
A stool of ruin and hurt
A mountain of tears and sorrow
Many like I, u fell
With your cloaked connivance
Oh great serpent
majestic mischief
Yet soon and not for long
A dark fog will shadow your mountain
My freedom will consume your alter
No longer in wait, laid waste
Or lost in lustful vain
Make haste ye courtesan
For time soon departs
And heart stops it's stride

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A woman I met a few years back. Long distance relationship. Gave all I got.... But she couldn't quite speak my love language. And wouldn't make the effort to try and make things better.
The effort we put into love to keep it is the true value of love.
