The Cowboy In Him Poem by Marilyn Lott

The Cowboy In Him

Rating: 5.0

He was country from the time
That he was a little child
He’s loved horses all his life
Whether tame or a little wild

More comfortable on a horse
Than in a stylish car
Loves the farm and doesn’t really
Have a need to go too far

His skin is a permanent tan
A little squint from his eye
Hat tipped kind of low
From blazing glow of the sky

Loves the sound pounding
From the nearby oil pump
Cuts down trees for winter wood
And leaves a trail of stumps

Ah yes, he’s quite a man, my friend
Tall and handsome and slim
Wanna know what I love the most?
It’s the sexy cowboy in him!
