The creation of my Valentine's Day
Shukdeb Mazumder
Give me a rose from your garden fenced
with bare barbed wires
and let me take down my burden of questions
from my mind, that tires.
Why don't you look at me in my darkness
with your starry eyes,
why don't you lay out your sunny smile on my foggy fortune with sighs?
Why don't you talk to me as much as you
used to, on a sudden meeting,
why don't you love me without reservation
that should be soon fleeting?
Why don't you be my guide in the hilly areas of my life as I abide in you,
why don't you come out on the dais of relation with robust romantic cue?
Only a rose risen from your bosom and rendered to me- can create a bright
Valentine's Day for me at any time when our dove of love will finally alight.
