The Creatures Screams Poem by Aaron Gotham

The Creatures Screams

Rating: 3.0

A thousand cries seep from the ocean,
The last creature to ever scream so loudly,
Pierced by a harpoon.

Its mixture of red and black blood spills in the sea,
While a thousand men on a floating machine stare at it.
High fives and whistles break the shallow sound of the wind,
And this creature slowly sinks.

Colors disperse all around and fill the sight with ecstasy.
The patterns of life circle this creature as its last dying thought,
Would never be heard, as its scream has been deluded by water,
And its eyes slowly shut to the last sight of the universe.
