The Cripple Who Is Whole Poem by Whitney Thayne

The Cripple Who Is Whole

Rating: 5.0

She was alone and lost.
Alive, but barely living
She, The Cripple, trudged along

In life she saw darkness.
Filled with grief and pain
She, The Cripple, trudged along.

She resented herself.
Trapped in a self-made prison
She, The Cripple, trudged along.

He found her.
Offering love and acceptance
He, a friend of her heart, embraced her.

Love healed her.
With a stitched heart beating
She, The Cripple Who is Whole, runs free.
