The Culling Storm Poem by Maddy Jones

The Culling Storm

Rating: 5.0

Tossed about,
In the waves of her sorrow,
Swimming throughout,
Life's only to borrow,

Abused and weak,
He's given her fright,
Her hope is so bleak,
With no end in sight,

His hatred untold,
A venomous storm,
She's getting so cold,
And cannot stay warm,

Disturber of peace,
And hateful of souls,
He wants her to cease,
And many he culls,

Sinking down deep,
Down where its dim,
Its peaceful to sleep,
But staying is grim,

Her little last hope,
The fins on her tail,
And her gills to breathe,
Who will prevail?
