The Dark Long Way Poem by Ibekwe chisom

The Dark Long Way

I made it clear,
that all they wanted was to fit in their peers,
they all went into the dark.
Never to look aback.

They were buried in our minds,
but they werent dead.
And this was all about the long dark way.

We all cried,
thus, this was the track that led to the path they decided to lay their feet on,
which was also one of their right.

All they gained was all in vain,
away, they were given,
left by their kind,
for their faith to be decided in no time.

Was this mistery part of them?
Or was thy destiny clouded?
The wise men warning,
that the youths refused to heed,
now led them to their deadly dream.

And now it is dark,
ere thou moving forward or aback?
The truth lies beneath their greatest desires.
But now in fire, they are burning.

They choosed their path,
which was their right.
My right, i choosed as my path,
with faith awaiting my destiny,
to be decided by fate.
Left them to move ahead, that i didnt,
''friend it is never too late'' i said,
but like eggs, they laid.

Every one wants to grow in fame,
but they never had the thought of 'in what name'.
Thus, they went switching off every light in the night.

The journey is still long ahead.
And the dark grows overhead.
Some, with their legs they couldnt walk with again,
others moved ahead, walking with their heads.

We all had our calls,
but some decided to grow with curse,
which was also their cause.
Thy judgement is now at hand,
waiting for the judge.
Who will deliver this message to George?
To tell him about the paths,
so that the mistery of the dark long way will be made know.
And that, we had done our parts.
