The Daughter Spoke Poem by Randy McClave

The Daughter Spoke

The daughter spoke to her mother dear
With a story that she knew that she must hear,
So, unto her mother she would not ever lie
The daughter then said, "I started dating a new guy".
I met him the park just the other day
I was with my friends watching their children play,
It seems to me he has a whole lot of money
And he constantly calls me sweetheart, and honey.
The mother then said that was very nice
And she hopes that he treats her daughter as sugar and spice,
And she hopes he treats her daughter really good
As any man really should.
The daughter then said, "he has numerous allegations"
And he's got many sexual assault accusations,
And for many other crimes he's been charged and caught
The mother then replied in a shocked disbelief, "What! ".
In fact the daughter then said
From what I have seen and from what I have read,
In fact he has been charged more than 20 times for that sin
The mother then replied, "WHAT? ", once again.
Well the daughter said, he's only been found guilty of only one
The daughter then smiled and said, " he's a very good con",
The mother then was *speechless, sputtering*
From all the charged crimes that her daughter was uttering.
Besides committing those many, many crimes
He has declared bankruptcy 6 times,
And he's a bully, racist, a con a draft dodger and an habitual liar
And many Christians say he will end up in Hell's fire.
The mother did scream, "WHY WOULD YOU DATE THIS MAN? "
What could be your ultimate and future plan,
The daughter then spoke proudly and wasn't at all hesitant
"Well", the daughter spoke, "you voted for him for president".
