The dawn of Bengal
(Bengal Reborn)
Prabir Gayen
The fragrance of our soil,
The spirit of love, compassion, and sacrifice,
By the gentle grace of the Divine Mother,
Bengal is pure again with deep devotion.
The old shadow of cruelty
Now fades into the western sky.
The earth rejoices with the song of humanity;
Let us care for one another
And build the temple of eternal brotherhood.
The morning air feels light again,
Freed from fear and hatred,
Released from thoughts of violence.
Freedom rises like the bright morning sun.
For fifteen long years Bengal suffered;
It became a wounded land
Where bloodshed replaced songs of peace,
Harmony, and joyful living.
It was a land of sorrow and fear.
Now children smile in their mothers' arms,
Men and women begin to live in peace again,
Even nature seems filled with celebration.
Sing, O brothers and sisters of Bengal!
Sing the song of the heart,
The song of devotion and unity.
The dark forces have disappeared into darkness,
Vanishing like mist before the morning light.
A leader filled with human kindness,
As if guided by the wisdom of ancient sages,
Has come forward to guide a fallen nation
Back to its forgotten glory.
Let the Gita speak eternal wisdom,
Let the Upanishads sing of truth, love, and compassion,
Let Vivekananda's voice awaken every heart again.
Let us stand united beyond all divisions.
Though the forces of cruelty now hide in shadows,
They may rise again someday.
Before hatred destroys civilization once more,
Join hands with your brothers and sisters
And declare freedom from the depths of your soul.
Bengal shines again with joy and hope.
Suvendu Adhikari, seen here as a saviour-like leader,
Moves steadily toward an age of truth,
Compassion, and contentment,
Leading a suffering land toward its fragrant past.
Let us walk together with dignity and pride;
Let us return to our shared heritage.
The dark powers have fled,
And the radiant spirit of Sanatana Dharma
Begins to bloom once more.
Let us protect this light within our hearts,
And plant the Bodhi tree again
In every home of Bengal's sacred soil.
