The Day She Came To Me - Poem by Barry Hansen

In time she wrote to me
I took my anger free
It was the end you see
That day she wrote to me

Therew was a touch of love
When clouds in awe above
Came with a pure white dove
That day I fell in love

We stole a moment clear
When lovers came to hear
The music we all fear
That day that I came clear

Our hearts in folly yearn
How hard it is to learn
What lovers' love can turn
That day we came to yearn

Your sadness came in kind
It gave my sorrow blind
With gladness in your mind
That day we fallowed kind

My body crossed the lines
They were such purple times
In willing you it finds
You writing all those lines

Where loving fills the wells
Past lies in sorrow tells
Your loving elswehere dwells
That day you drained the wells

My love she came to me
I lost my anger free
It was the end you see
That day she came to me.
