The Day You Left Poem by Eric Kaesberg

The Day You Left

I came home my same time to you my dear
Wife, only to find a note saying its over
This is my final goodbye.
The letter as I read her word's It was
Full of hatred and disgust
I don't love you no more I haven't in a
Long time, you should of seen this coming,
So I have packed my bags to say my final goodbye.
I started to cry and fell to my knees not knowing
Why she left me to be alone. I thought she loved
Me as she vowed once to the end.
Life seemed like we had still love for each other.
Was I so blind to her wanting to leave me behind?
In this relationship that was a lie only to her
Selfish kind. I saw her trying to leave, I begged
Her please honey stay I can't live without you
Another day. She laughed at me and said if
I stay will you do everything I say, no matter
if you don't like my way.
