The Day You Were Born (A Man's Point Of View) Poem by Monlano Amir

The Day You Were Born (A Man's Point Of View)

If i was there, the day u were born
I'd kiss ur forhead and carve a sign
It would be a symbol for the future
To let u know that ur always mine

I would hug ur precious body
And whisper in ur ear
All about the life we'll have
Filled with love and fear

I'll tell you about the first day
When i met you walking by
How i stoped in my tracks
My breathing becoming high

Those dark dangerous eyes
Looked straight to my soul
I thought i was in command
But u made me loose control

I'll tell you about my proposal
How i stooped to my knee
How i declared my love
To my heart u hold the key

I'll tell you of our first passionate kiss
How you moaned and whispered my name
I'll tell u of making slow and hard love
And how i was never the same

I'll tell you about how u drove me crazy
With your ridiculous thoughts and charm
With your presistent way of things
Although u never ment any harm

I'll tell you about ur smiles
How they made my heart skip
How i longed to trace my fingers
On ur pouting lower lip

I'll tell you about ur laugh
How it had made my day
How i was always at peace
And chased my problems away

I'll tell you about our children
Who were bright, beautiful and wild
How they took after their mother
Even when they smiled

I'll tell you about growing old
How we stood side by side
How i was so very happy
Until the day u died

After that...I wont tell u how i suffered
How i forgot something called joy
How i felt like i had died
And my life i did destroy

You see...it didnt take long
For my soul to depart
I was anixous to be with you
Oh Keeper of my heart

And it was then i knew
The real value of true love
I realized how strong it was
It pulled me to u above
