The Days And Nights Go By
The days and nights go by
And I still can't comprehend why
You threw away the love we had.
It's tragic and it's sad.
I tried for oh so long
To get you to tell me what I'd done wrong.
But you wouldn't clue me in
As to what had been my sin.
I failed to stop you from walking out that door.
I'm no longer the sea and you are no longer the shore.
