The Death Of Hope Poem by Israel Moses N

The Death Of Hope

Rating: 5.0

Raising our hopes so high
Through your so hard work
With you by our side,
we could fly so high in the sky
We would prefer our mud house to new York
We could withstand any tide.

When times are so hard
You thought us to be so tough
We learnt to ride hard
On situations so rough

Even in the face of infirmity
You maintained serenity
You chose to rely on divinity
Knowing we are frail humanity

But when you finally bowed
With that we finally cowed
And those hopes seemed to die
For they wastingly now lie

But for your sake
From our slumber now we wake
To build our hopes even higher
And to walk even taller

To write your story on the sands of time
For generations unborn to know
To spread it to all lands and clime
Today and even tomorrow

And even when we stand so aloof
We will bow our heads in grief
In remembrance of thee
In remembrance of your legacy.

in memory of my loving mother

A beautiful tribute to a lovely mother. She will be very proud of her son. Thanks for sharing.
