The Devils Playground - Poem by Frankie Stamey

This old world is the devils playground
This is where the demon comes to play around

When in Hell he gets lonely and blue
The demon comes to visit me and you
Causing trouble and strife
Between husband and wife
Wanting someone to end a life
A new soul to carry back to hell
That's the story I've come to tell
You see it plays out a million times a day
Starting with drugs, killing, rapping, and child abuse
Then starting wars, just icing on the cake
Never enough souls can he take
He may be the one to make the earth shake
Taking a lot of innocent lives along the way
Some people think he's just a fake
Just a figment of a mad mans imagination
But just look what he's doing to our wonderful nation
That should give you thoughts to ponder
I know it makes me wonder

This old world is the devils playground
This is where the demon comes to play around

When in Hell he gets bored
The Devil has more tricks in store
He unfreezes the diseases
Lets loose on the innocent, rich or poor
Then come knock upon their door
To see if their Savior they still adore
Feeling abandoned and forsaken
Will they still kneel down on the floor
And pray to the one not shaken
By the pleasures of the Devils making
Some diseases we think are self inflicted
But to liquid depression, I once was addicted
This may be a confession, Definitely a representation
Liquid Depression can be the devils medication
Leading you deeper into the devils playground

This old world is the devils playground
This is where the demon comes to play around

When in Hell the devil gets happy
So many lost souls sent to his domain
Entering deaths doorway
Into the dark and twisted universe
That the devil calls home
Where true believers never roam
Only the lost souls that dared not to believe
The devil welcomes the lost souls to his domain
Calling each one by their own name
He knows he's to blame
Now it's time to turn up the flame
Those that didn't believe will now feel the pain
The blood will pour like acid rain
Washing away all doubts that remain
The demons will come and join in the fun
The devil will rejoice in hell
and torture everyones Heart and soul until he gets bored
Then he will come back to the playground for more
It happens day in and day out
In the devils playground
The Devil never gets bored

This old world is the devils playground
This is where the demon comes to play around
