The Diapason Of My Feelings
The diapason of my feelings
to you - is broad.
It Includes everyhing: from visions
to entering the shock.
To become close - we don't need it.
Do not haras!
But anyway it goes I'll see you -
as sinner sees - a paradise.
You cannot bring me pain or harm me.
Cause pain is fear.
There is no fear of those who are free.
themselves - as wind.

This poem confronts a crisis but ends with an affirmation of FREEDOM compared to that freest of natural forces - the wind. And I can see that FREEDOM is the inner strength that is wrapped around the whole poem. On a second reading we can see the speaker is not helpless before temptation because that virtue FREEDOM is within her, it is already operating to safeguard her. In the second stanza she acknowledges temptation promises a kind of paradise (which is a good thing narrowly defined) but it would cause the loss of a greater Paradise (this is not stated but is, as I read the poem, implied) . We are not told about the consequences of her resiostance to temptation, but other poems in this series of poems from late April suggest a positive outcome.
