The Diaries Of A Defeated Man Poem by Saphir Malek

The Diaries Of A Defeated Man

It has never happened
That I have loved with this much depth
It hasn't happened
It has never happened
That I have traveled with a woman
To the land of desire
And beat the shores of her breasts
Like angry thunder or lightening
For in the past I have never been in love
but, I was playing the part of being in love

It has never happened, my lady
That I have tasted fire and tasted the burn
I did not know one before you
You dominated me you took my weapons
You defeated me inside my kingdom
You tore my mask off of my face

Be certain my lady
A thousand like me will love you
And you will send letters of desire
But you will not find after me
A man that loves you with this honesty
You will never find one
Not in the west nor in the east
