The Difficulty Of Settling Poem by Eillio Imbasciati

The Difficulty Of Settling

She always spoke in the past tense,
As if previous mistakes or missed opportunities couldn't be corrected
But it isn't if he cannot relate to or understand her strife,
Including the difficulty of settling
Since he's occurred many lapsed bids for what's being offered and being happy with that,
He's discovered that as long as he's still breathing,
There's always room for more
Knowing what's right when what's imagined is in sight,
Yet many times, there isn't a lot of time
So they have to hurry,
Before what is possible between them gets lost in the crowd,
Or the past tense catches up to them
