Sometimes happiness comes in the forms we least expect.
You have to change your train of thought to avoid that regret.
Create the domino effect.
It is something simple,
As reading my PhD proposal,
Or being fed from a child who can barely hold his spoon and haven't yet had his full.
These are such thoughts that flood my mind at two in the morning.
I find these little pleasures comforting.
Although I am a PhD candidate- to be,
After my undergraduate study.
I am still a young lady.
Who experiences the desires and broken heart as any other fair lady.
However, I have my studies which can make me happy.
You see my research proposal was written with passion,
Was created using very little pen on an unexpected occasion.
Reading it makes me happy,
Brings back memories of neuroscience simply.
Without the knowledge of neuroscience I would've been rejected unquestionably.
None of the courses I have been taught for my degree,
Implement neuroscience to such a standard.
There's something about the brain I myself cannot fathom.
I guess that's why I am drawn to it with such rhythm.
The thrill or thought of discovering something in the future that hasn't been discovered before,
It's what makes my blood warm and wanting more.
Only after do I realize my hands are sore.
Such are the things which makes me smile.
