The Double-Edged Flame Poem by Muktika Poddar

The Double-Edged Flame

Rating: 5.0

Love, a master magician, weaves it spell.
A trickster of mind, stealing desires to sell.
A gambler of emotions, the sweet deceitful kind.
It burns alive, yet feels warm and subtle inside.
A risky game, challenging sanity's core,
Mending souls, transforming all that's before,
No guarantees, can expire at any breath.
Yet demands you give it all, in its sublime, cruel depth.
A fragile thread, an elusive fading dream,
Still we find ourselves falling, subscribing to its extreme.
