The Drunken Man Poem by Tony Adah

The Drunken Man

He came home
He came dazed
He came in a drunken stupor
He kicked his wife's pot
There in the kitchen and passed to the room
He laid down
He laid down coiled like a dead shrimp
Shoes, shirt and pants
All in intact like a hibernated snail
He snored
He talked
He laughed
All in a deep sleep
And on the morrow, he was gone!
