Shall I sing?
said the bird
"Shall I sing? "
said the flower
"Shall I sing? "
said the sun
Or" shall I? "
said the shower.
Neither could I sing
in their tunes
nor could I
say any thing.
I was busy gazing at
the eagle flying high up
shadow clouding over
my soul
threatening its existence.
