The Elusiveness Of Sleep Poem by Victoria Hughes

The Elusiveness Of Sleep

Rating: 5.0

When i lie here all alone
Thinking of sleep
Wishing it would come upon me
Making a dream leap
Into a world less harsh
I wonder why it is so elusive.

The elusiveness of sleep
Is something that we all share,
From time to time we creep
Around hoping that to a dream world
We will be bound
And that we will get around the elusiveness of sleep.

Victoria, nice poem! It would be great if sleep was as easy as flicking a switch. Brian
