The Emperor Of Exmoor Poem by Brian Stafford

The Emperor Of Exmoor

He's so majestic and so elusive,
His lands are vast and varied;
His demise is so inconclusive,
But his story won't be buried;
They come to see just on a whim,
As his presence is often wanted;
But it's pointless to seek him,
As audiences are seldom granted;
There's many rumours to where he's been,
There's speculation that he's been hunted;
Just because he's is so very rarely seen,
They should know they are not wanted;
But its not a crime to be an admirer,
Because after all, he is the Emperor.
