The Empress's Death
she thinks it is time
for the empress to die
she's had her day
her roll in the hay
but now it seems
she no longer dreams
sees no value in her fantasy
and really no good can come of this
for her king could not grant her wish
still, for her, it's too late
no one can really escape their fate.
