The Empty Canvas Poem by Vonda Overlie

The Empty Canvas

The canvas is bare where colorful paints use to play.

Days of rainbows and laughter and long walks on summer nights.

I miss what use to be before the monster came out of the darkness and stole you from me.

You are there somewhere and I will wait for you to return once again.

I have to wait from afar now but I will wait and when I see in your eyes, the beauty of your soul, we will unite and love and make up for lost time!

In my faith I remain, knowing one day we will walk hand in hand in that promised land.
