The End Poem by Thabani Khumalo

The End

"Children of Chabbaz
Born down south to a mad woman named Gondwana,
Looming is an era of agony slowly creeping over you like the tainted lunar light
And the crescent of pandemics.
He will arrive at the beginning of the sixth of the new week
And by his fascist hand he will gain full dominion over you.
I will cast forth a Saviour to free your enslaved souls to the endless eternity
Of which they all fight to see.
Take heed, then, that you hear his voice and follow his ways
And you when over-grow childhood
You shall overthrow his tyranny
And you shall indeed be free."
