The Endgame Poem by Marc Jude Fernandes

The Endgame

Let me drown my soul in the sea of happiness
Let me bathe under the full moon
The hour is coming to herald the death of sadness
Yes, indeed the time is coming soon

Dance my spirit, celebrate like a king
Sing my soul a joyful refrain
Death has lost its sting
Its shadow will never come near me again

Depart from me O' harbingers of misery
Flee as swiftly as you came
No longer will you find a home in me
For now you have reached your endgame

No longer must I dread the dawn of tomorrow
For now my soul is no longer stained by sorrow
