The Energy Crisis Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

The Energy Crisis

I try to help Obama out
So I do walk, both here and about
But leather soon no more be found
In cotton socks we then go 'round
Hole we soon get in our sock
And heel and toe we then do rock
Then soon we go in our bare feet
Up and down the busy street
In bare feet walk and feet get sore
We swear we never walk no more
The skin get red, and hurt beset
In Epsom Salts we bathe and fret
What is the answer, no one know
But this be it, we must go slow
