The Eternal Immortal Search Poem by Rahman Lotif

The Eternal Immortal Search

Rating: 5.0

I keep on the lookout for
You round the aisle,
The corridors of time,
Your memories make me smile!

Through a poem of yours
Or even a song,
In embedded eyes,
Night after night,
Till daybreak or dawn
Throws in light!

I keep up my search for thee
In the blue firmament,
Till dawn lies in deathbed
In dusks own laments!

In silvery camouflage
Of each full moon night
My love for thee makes me
Lament - that's my plight!

My veins and arterioles are
Warm with thy love,
I still look above -
For you in flower gardens
In greener pastures
And in deep green forests
When in August it rains!

Yet, my love laments!
For thirst of thy lips
The wonderful trips down
The memory lane!
They bring me pain!

The Ustad's shehnai
And the notes of Dhamaar
In the green indicator of my
New handset device.

I yearn for you, search for you
In my consciousness
I relive to feel you through
Tanpura's tone fresh!

And yet

I seem to keep loving you
Through my distress!
