Some Day Poem by Rahman Lotif

Some Day

Rating: 5.0

Probably some day
I will not think of thee!
Probably even unmindfully
You too won't remember me.

Probably in this life
We won't converse again,
Probably in sea of time
Tide will leave no stain!

Probably either of us will be
Engaged in our own spheres,
Probably one will be applauded
And one will face just jeers!

Probably we can never ever
Measure the depth of rivers
Probably we won't realise the amount
Of water to put in tea for peers,
To sip the warmth, watching full moon
Wink at us with drunken eyes!
Thus fondling each other
In true secluded and privacyso wise!

Our proposed honeymoon might
Thus may be swept out
Through untimed rain which plays
A Devil but clear Spoilsport

Our desiresmay thus
Drenchin unfilled passion!
And the known aisles and corridors
Will still hang curtains out of fashion...
From dust may accumulate dust -

Yet -

With the unextinguished sun
And its glowing radiance
Even with a fossilized heart
My love for thee foreverremains,
You will dwell in my heart with true lust.
