The Eye Of The Storm Poem by Heather Burns

The Eye Of The Storm

In the
distance
clouds were
gathering
moisture

howling
winds
were
approaching

sweeping
across
the
horizons

a bolt of
lightening
flashed
before
my eyes

lighting
up the
night
skies

thunder
roared
crashing
around
me

awakening
my senses

suddenly
it began
to rain
a downpour

flooding
the
streets

falling
like
teardrops

watering
the earth
once more

I was caught
in the eye
of the
storm.
