The Eyes Of A Snake Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Eyes Of A Snake

The eyes of a snake
yet the heart of a clown
a red nose
and beady
snake eyes:
calling
from behind the high walls
of hills
the eyes of the snake
rolling
rolling
rolling
beady-eyed
as the reign of the Night
beginning
