Futuristic Utopia

I contemplate how in the future poems will
Be created in Groups and Societies until
Epics are written, and Odes they are spoke,
From evening to daybreak, from when they awoke.

Poetesses and Poets will meet weekly,
In Groups and Societies for all to see,
How new poems are created when they do meet,
To put together on this poetic sheet.

A theme will be chosen when they enter the hall,
On a subject suggested by one and all.
Poems will be written in verses that scan,
Spoken Word by Word, by each woman and man.

These Poets will set a new type of Art,
As spoken by each one, but who will start
This new way of writing, line by line,
Hoping the poems will scan and rhyme?

Poems will not be written by one poet alone,
But by one or more, in tandem, speaking on the phone.
Till verses are writ or recorded on disk,
I’m sure that this new method will become a Hit.

F.U.S.S.

[Futuristic Utopian Social Society for the Creation of Group Poetry]

I wish to create throughout the World
A Global concept that could unfold,
To write poetry together in a new way,
Not known before and unheard of today.

The Society would have branches worldwide,
Poets would travel to it from far and wide,
To write poems together, line by line,
The verses would scan, and all would rhyme.

F.U.S.S. would be the name that I’d give it,
But no fuss would be about poets in it.
The “Futuristic Utopian Social Society” will then become
Open to All, but Second to None.

A place for poets to meet and rave,
Where children would create and not misbehave.
Their poems would add to their Heritages,
And enhance their achievements through the Ages.

What Is All The F.U.S.S. About?

What is all the F.U.S.S. about?
I hear them all say,
The Meeting of a Futuristic Utopian Social Society
Is happening here today.

Why is it so different?
Someone asks of you.
‘Tis a new way to write Poetry, not by one, but by a few.

How does it differ from the way poems used to be?
Subjects are given monthly, for Poems to be written by thee.

Are there many Societies, or this the only one?
There are Groups in many Countries
And Cities throughout the Lands.

Adults and children together,
Write a single poem each month,
And the best from all the Societies
Vie for Honour and For Rank.

Each Group then visits others,
To form a Worldwide creative force,
So the Art of Writing Poetry,
Will forever be enhanced.
