The Fabians Poem by Padmanabhan Ananth

The Fabians

Why call it Facebook when it's neither
A real 'face' nor a 'book' - it's a blur
But social network site that's now a rage
A billion plus users around globe, every age

Siblings, parents, spouse, cousins - all 'friends'!
No difference whether near or in far lands
Can 'post' a message - no cover, no postman
Will be delivered - no postmark, no mail van

You can choose a friend, post a 'like'
You can unfriend, comment or 'unlike'
Post a cartoon video, news, note or even poem: -)
Read or watch posts of events beyond

With all this I still have one crazy question
Have been having this, since it all began
What do you call a Facebook user?
Well, how about this term - 'Fabian'?

Not Fabianne, like the 50s teen singing sensation
Or the mild-English socialist society
Plain and simple 'Fabian' for 'Facebook citizen'
One that will connect pals - far and beyond!
