The Faceless Fairy Poem by Jaya Varma

The Faceless Fairy

That faceless fairy of yours,
Whose strings of life you hold,
Has breathed so long in dark,
Can barely stand a spark,
In your arms she blindly settles,
on a pillow, you weaved with petals,
Your voice is all she knows,
Through her purple blood, it flows,
For all her life, she had hidden,
Taking this world forbidden,
But often, when you are not home
It made her worse than alone,
A window did open one day,
Inviting her soul to play,
Wet eyes request to your heart,
And plead, she would never be apart,
Say yes or hold her back,
She ain't gonna leave your lap,
Starry skies may wait,
For you to decide her fate.
