in the afternoon
as the sun is about to retire
i lay my body in the hammock
watching the fading
absorbing what lesson is there
in the colors of resignation
peaceful and fulfilling
birds perch on trees
with so much singing and then
when everything is in place
the silence of feathers
lay like a nest of the dark night
up the sky the stars slowly appear
and glitter.
