The Fall Comes Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

The Fall Comes

Prevalence
reporting that
some ‘thing' is
not correct. A few
or more points in one's
development … unofficially
of an individual's personal diagnosis
upon ‘watching differently' during the
trials and tribulations presented when
‘actively intervening' while one is yet
‘unweaned' from whatever one is
unweaned from …
‘specialized support, ' this or other-worldly
the ‘service, ' based upon what evidence or
appropriate or inappropriate attentions; all
deficits faced, all individualized intellectual
expenses priced, support throughout an
entire lifetime prized …
tens of trillions misspent, a daunting
sum for not one thing becoming done
or undone … the sad statistic, the ‘to save
death, ' not one thing can fix this? 10 millions
strong, marching as one, does not the plurality
make! What if these 10 millions be armed? Would
be quite the ‘main-streamed' sounded video bite!
What if, then should be granted to thought; what it
would take for change to ensue … along with a ‘few
more millions' across 30 U.S. cities or more, one
societal misery after another quickly shuffled
out of this nation's drawers before …
‘the fall comes'!
