The Fasts And After Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Fasts And After

Face “today”
As it is only way
To live
And believe

Whatever you did at present
Becomes past
Making you to feel soar
Or raise the head and roar

You may not look around
While waging survival battle on ground
No relation shall appeal
As situation faced is real

You may argue when stomach is full
You may spend endless hours when become successful
The past, which had troubled you, carries no meaning
As present is glorious and shining

You always talk of world pace
When your own life is at an ease
The flowers, fountain and mountain
All may make you merry and ideas may sustain

People may lend ears and look kind
When you have enough to give and spend
You are forced to believe about green fields
So long the fortune is favorably held
