The Feather Poem by Holly Jamestone

The Feather

Let me be the feather
That cascades toward the ground
To soften blows and shoulder lies
As things become unwound

Let me do the worrying
As you get back on track
To guide you toward the sun and warmth
And help see your way back

Let me be a caring ear
A shelter never shattered
To mend your wings as you recoup
Whenever they are tattered

Let me be the feather
To wander toward the sun
And gently reach for rainbows
As new hope is begun

Fly with me in comfort as
No matter what the length
I will be your confidence
And mounds of inner strength

To Jami
