The Fifth Element Poem by Najibur Rahman

The Fifth Element

Rating: 5.0

A ghostly beam that hurtles
Across the sky which is obsidian
Oh wonder oh wonder how fast you are
That races through the universe
Time and Tide wait for none
But does it matter to such impetus light
A perpetual race you seem to run
With infinity as your resting place
In a moments notice you come to me
Or it can be an eternity
Speed, Speed is all you are
Without your speed we cannot meet
You come from another universe
Bringing hope and light from another world
Many colors through you I see
Things I did not know were true
What far off place did you get to see?
What memories do your beam contain?
The story of creation
A narrative of the elder tales
With your help the world can see
Without you, darkness prevails
