The Fight Against Life Poem by Cindy Christmas

The Fight Against Life

I know you hate living in poverty.

You just got paid and your pockets are empty.

You live paycheck to paycheck, so you can't save a penny.

You got a full time job, but you're not making enough money.

You're behind in your rent, so you may get evicted,

And you don't got enough food to feed your kid.

The welfare treats you like you're an animal,

Life at times makes you feel suicidal.

I know for you life is a struggle,

But never give up, because one day you will win that battle
