The Final Autopsy Diagnosis Of A Black Teenager Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Final Autopsy Diagnosis Of A Black Teenager

Rating: 5.0

Why so many shots to kill a Black teenager?
In this sick society, we are all in danger.
Why were so many gunshot wounds on his body?
Racism is a profoundly rooted cancer in this society.
Out of fear of a Blackman, the accused pulled the trigger,
More than eight times, killing an unarmed teenager.
We wonder: Why so many shots to kill a youngster?
This death was a homicide. He was executed by a murderer:
Gunshot wound to the top of the head
Gunshot wound to the right forehead
Gunshot wound to the upper right chest
Gunshot wound to the lateral right chest
Gunshot wound to the upper right arm
Gunshot wound to the right forearm
To the right hand, many tangential gunshot wounds
Many exiting gunshot wounds
And other bullets went backward
And forward.
This tyrant killed his heart, his tongue,
His liver, his esophagus, and his lungs.
Let me spare you further details,
These words are facts, not poetry, not fictive tales.

This death was a homicide. He was executed by a murderer,
Who could have used other means: his baton, knife or taser.
This is sad. This is a travesty of justice. This is a tragedy.
We are sick and tired of this open-season on our global community.
This death was an execution. He was gunned down by a killer:
Gunshot wound to the top of the head
Gunshot wound to the right forehead
Gunshot wound to the upper right chest
Gunshot wound to the lateral right chest
Gunshot wound to the upper right arm
Gunshot wound to the right forearm
To the right hand, many tangential gunshot wounds
Many exiting gunshot wounds
And other bullets went backward
And forward.
Where do we go from here? The judicial system is not color blind.
What do we do now? To us, this system is unfair, unjust and unkind.
