soon you will
remember me as the
one who wrote the
best lines for you

i will wait

soon you will like me
as the one who wrote for
you and
it was not that i took
time to choose the words
or change my mind from
time to time
arranging my verses
as though they were furniture
in the living room
or flowers in the vase
or the glass figurines
which your fragile hands
did not even try
to move afraid to break
any of those
expensive ones

i cannot wait

i have finally decided to
leave and simply forget.
