The Fish That Cries Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Fish That Cries

This is mind-boggling to me
That you are the only fish that cries.
This is a strange tragicomedy,
And I am not saying a slew of lies.

Babe, you are the only fish that cries.
I saw the crocodile tears; I saw the frog weeping,
Jumping, hop scotching and hip hitching,
While being followed by a cloud of flies.

Stop wailing before the whale follows suite.
Stop crying before the shark swallows the flute.
The sea is wet with your tears. The mermaid is laughing.

The tilapias are giggling hysterically. This is amazing.
Babe, you are the only fish that cries.
That's the truth. I am not telling a bunch of lies.
