The Forbidden Lullaby Poem by Sub Zero

The Forbidden Lullaby

You don't have to give a reason why
I would never wish to see you cry
And if I could be with you tonight
I would open up my arms and hold you tight

Sometimes I dream of you saying Goodnight
Only to wake up without you by my side
Dreams can turn into nightmares sometimes
Rain drops from skies which ravens fly

Thoughts of you relapse in my mind
Shattered memories can be seen in my eyes
True love comes but once and then it dies
Never thinking of the pain it leaves behind

I have been hurt by love and survived
To do it all again would be unwise
I couldn't see back then, I was blind
Your love was suicide in disguise

Here's a lullaby to close my eyes
To go or stay, I can not decide
Only time will tell the day of my demise
Dark thoughts are siloughetted by the light

Tear drops on paper which have dried
Rivers of pain, Rivers of pride
Lying in the sand is a knife
Red stains on the handle and side

It is much too late, You're out of time
Dreams of happiness which never bind
Foot prints in the sand you will find
Which will lead to my lonely paradise

Cries can be heard in the night
I left without saying goodbye
My empty heart their love could not provide
I could never let you see me die

There's nowhere to run, Nowhere to hide
I'm the soul who walks with you from time to time
Deep In my heart you are still mine
Fallen Angels will sing my song, My Lullaby
