The Former Wife And Child Beater Poem by Francis Duggan

The Former Wife And Child Beater

He used to beat his children and his long suffering first wife
But what goes around always does come around in life
The wife beater is with a husband beater today
She bellows orders at him and he does obey
He only hit her once and she hit him back
And she fully angered went on the attack
A few kicks and punches and he hit the floor
She made sure that he would hit her never more
What goes around comes around in truth one can say
The former wife beater is the bashed husband of today
Our past does catch up with us in some sort of a way
If the law does not catch up with us to Karma we must pay
The strongest and biggest meet their match in life
And the former wife and child beater has met his match in his second wife.

Francis, I loved the irony in this poem. I just pictured the strong woman fighting back. It made me feel really good. You have the ability like all good poets to paint strong pictures.++10 Robert
