The Frustration Of Karlo Avenido. Poem by Karlo Avenido

The Frustration Of Karlo Avenido.

Rating: 0.5

I tried to write beauty.
I have in my hands
my pen
which was my weapon
against the banality
of my existence,
and a paper
which served as a living witness
to the truth
I so often write.

Her thought came across my mind.
Inspiration kissed me
on my lips
and made my pen
draw curved lines
and loops,
and stems.

I wrote
a magnificent work
which tantamounts
not even a tenth
of her sheer beauty.

My words failed me.
I failed to write her.
I failed to write beauty,
for beauty already exists.

And that beauty
is her.
