The Game Poem by Garret Raja

The Game

Life, a game we're thrust into, forced to partake,
No choice in our arrival, no way to escape.
The clock ticks differently for each soul on this earth,
No one knows when time runs out, our fate's unknown from birth.

No rules to bind us, no predetermined way,
We navigate the game, shaping it day by day.
We set our own goals, seeking pleasures to please,
For one, it's riches amassed, for another, good health's keys.

Some find triumph in simply savoring each breath,
While fame may be the prize, for those seeking worldly depth.
But when asked of life's essence, what truly matters most,
I replied, 'It's what we lack that becomes our vital ghost.'

For in the absence of abundance, desire finds its reign,
Money craved when it's scarce, its worth not in vain.
A child longed for, its absence a heart's solemn beat,
Beauty yearned when unseen, its value held complete.

This game we call life knows no rules, no defined aims,
Yet we forge our own path, fueled by dreams and flames.
So let's play with wisdom, let's seize each precious day,
Find pleasure in our endeavors, as we tread life's mysterious way.

For in the vast expanse of this game we all share,
Our joys and sorrows entwined, a tapestry rare.
Embrace the uncertainty, seek wisdom's embrace,
And may the pursuit of pleasure guide us with grace.

Life's a game, undefined, with no set destination,
Let's navigate it wisely, with love and determination.
For in the grand theater of this enigmatic show,
May we find our own meaning and let our spirits glow.
